PRIVACY POLICY

The Elm Gallery is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By visiting our website www. the-elm-gallery.co.uk you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controllers are Liz and Dave Marsh, who are partners of The Elm Gallery. The gallery has no employees so Liz and Dave Marsh are the only people who handle data.

Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you:
• Information you give us. You may give us information about you by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide to subscribe to our mailing list and if you report a problem with our site. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number. We do not sell directly from The Elm Gallery’s website, as our cards and prints are sold online via our two Etsy shops. Etsy has its own privacy policy and uses cookies. Occasionally, we may sell an item from the gallery by phone and for this we would need your card details. These are always destroyed immediately after the transaction has gone through successfully and a receipt is then sent to you with your purchase to confirm the card payment.
• Information we collect about you. Our website www.the-elm-gallery.co.uk does not use cookies, therefore we cannot track your individual visits to our site. However, we use Google Analytics to monitor the total number of people visiting our site and the pages they have looked at, length of visit and any search terms used. This helps us to see which pages on our website are the most popular and to monitor the amount of traffic to our website.

Corrections/ Updating Personal information
If your personal information changes or you no longer wish to be on our mailing list, please contact us and we will amend or delete your details as soon as we possibly can. Please email us at lizanddave@the-elm-gallery.co.uk.
